Welcome to Mēkamstore. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform, including our collaborative canvas environment, file storage, and AI features.
1. Information We Collect
We collect data necessary to operate our platform, authenticate your identity, and provide collaboration features.
- Account & Authentication Data: When you register via email or Google OAuth, we collect your name, email address, profile image, and hashed passwords. We also collect session data, including your IP address and User-Agent, to secure your account.
- User Content (Canvases & Files): We store the data you create and upload. This includes canvas layouts, frames, nodes (text, image, or file nodes), relational edges (connections between nodes), and the actual files you upload (including metadata like original file names, sizes, and MIME types).
- Collaboration Data: When you share a canvas or file, we collect the email addresses of your share recipients and track access permissions (e.g., view vs. edit access) and share link visibility settings.
- Billing Information: If you upgrade to a paid tier (Basic, Standard, or Pro), our payment processor (DodoPayments) handles your payment details. We only store your dodo_customer_id, dodo_subscription_id, and subscription tier status to manage your access limits.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data exclusively to deliver and improve the Mēkamstore experience:
- To host your collaborative canvases and securely store your files.
- To enforce storage and share limits based on your subscription tier.
- To send transactional notifications (e.g., share alerts, password resets).
- To provide contextual AI assistance based on the canvas data and chat messages you actively submit to the AI panel.
3. Third-Party Service Providers
To operate our platform, we share specific data with trusted third-party infrastructure providers. We do not sell your data.
- Cloudflare (R2): Used for secure, cloud-based object storage of your uploaded files and images.
- DodoPayments: Used to securely process subscription payments and manage billing cycles.
- Resend: Used to deliver transactional emails (like password reset links).
- Google: Used strictly for authentication if you choose to sign in via Google OAuth.
4. Data Retention & Deletion
- Active Accounts: We retain your account data and canvas content as long as your account is active.
- Soft Deletion (The Trash): When you delete a file, canvas, or frame, it is marked as "deleted" in our system and moved to the Trash. These items remain recoverable for 30 days, after which they are permanently purged from our databases and Cloudflare R2 storage.
- Account Deletion: You may request to delete your account at any time, which will initiate the permanent deletion of your profile, canvases, and stored files.
